Altitude : 730 metres ASL Situation : In the heights of Saint-Paul. Private hillside-school, property of AZURTECH hang-gliding school. Access free for all qualified and insured pilots. Official takeoff for local and international competitions from the top of the school-slope. Flight schedule : You can stay playing over the school-slope or make soaring on the cliff before landing at Savannah or Tour des Roches landing ground. Beware, without any thermal current, reaching the cliff from the top of the school slope is impossible for some wigs. What is more, a medium tension électric line is on the way... Reserved for good pilots. For the others it is recommended to take off from the 920 (click to see), it is quite safer. That is clear, you are in a cross site, so all the other landing ground of the sector are opened to you. However, be carefull, the ground between the cliff and the four-lane road, which seems to be covered with beautiful green fields, is in fact a marshy zone.... na. na. na.

Aerology : This site is situated in the North-West of the island, so we fly to leeward when meteorological incoming wind comes from South-East or East. When the wind comes from South-SouthEast, (during trade wind period, from June to September) beautiful confluence could happen on the left. Then, you will fly in a North return, more adapted situation on this site, particularly because of the cliff orientation. When the wind is East-NorthEast, confluence zone can be clearly seen on the right, then you will fly in a South return. Otherwise you will be in a pure breeze regime.
