Very good site for beginner XC and junior XC pilot. Simple terrain. East side is mountain face to west, West side is flat round and many place to landing .Main road to straight to North. Easy for retrieve. watch the spelling: Saichia, Saijya, Saijia it's all the same.

Flat ground with nice grass. Allow open 3 canopys at the same time. Front edge is cliff. 330m high and 1.5km to landing.It take 20 minute from landing to take off. This is not a beginner launch though many coaches train here. It is a cliff with frequent wind direction changes and often cross wind. NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS IN CROSS WIND TAKE-OFFS. CAUTION. Main landing 200m x 200m with nice grass. 3 backup landing.No house ,Power line,Tall tree. Very open view. Watch for buuble thermal on the landing zone. Take air plane to Kaohsiung internation Air port. Take Taxi around 50 minute to the site(cost $50 USD).No BUS or other public transportation directly from air port to the village near the site. Don't fly over the golf course. Heavy weight politicals play there and they will try to shut down the site. Watch out for ultraligths buzzing the take off zone. Don't fly over the golf course. Good season October to March. Summer have typhoon and storm. Cloud suck. The landing zone sets off sudden thermals. Watch out on landing! Watch the thermal cycles. 15 - 20 minuutes. When you're on, you're really on. When you're off, you're on the ground.
