12er-Nock NNE to SSW, easy take off on gras, lots of space. There are lots of landing possibilities in the valley, wether you go westwards to the village of Nötsch or straight down towards the highway (landing close to the river Gail) or eastwards to the village Federaun, which is at the end of the mountain ridge. Flying straight to the village of Arnoldstein is also possible. Drive up the Villacher Alpenstrasse. Warning: toll is EUR 13.- from April to Oktober (sometimes even November), check www.villacher-alpenstrasse.at Drive up until the last parkig lot (16,5km), park your car there (no parking fee). Strong thermal activitiy during summertime, the southface of Dobratsch is very cliffy. Not suitable for beginners. Beginners may fly this site in Winter.
