pub corner 500m before TC ski field. Possible to take off towards NE and SE. At start of the road up to the ski field. Please beware of very prickly bushes and high wire fences around the narrow landing strip. Wind at landing can change its direction very abruptly. Observe well the windsock while still at altitude. Wanaka, suivre Treble Cone ski field. When the gate is open, you can go up by car. Shuttle bus also available but places may be limited (5NZD as of 2011). When parking the car at landing site, ALWAYS park it on the RIGHT side of the road (north side) at the fence. The other side is dedicated to landings. Do not park there! All open and uncontrolled airspace, all the freedom you may wish for XC. Share the space and beware of speedgliders and acro gliders.
