(This site is most useful for ground handling/kiting). Large, flat area at the top by the masts popular with and managed by kite boarders at the top is best for ground handling. This is a designated kiting area but be considerate to horse riders in this public area. Short training hops possible from golf course end. Competent XC pilots might find it useful for launching. Some areas for ridge soaring but the site has lots of hazards. There are very small areas to slope land, top landing will be safest.
Training hops from the higher golf course, otherwise very technical ridge soaring. Top landing, with limited slope landing options. Large, flat area at the very top. From B4075 in Cheltenham, go up Harp Hill which becomes Aggs Hill. Follow (avoid roads marked private) to T-Junction with large, dead tree stump in the middle. Turn left and follow until you reach the small car parking area beneath the radio masts.
