This is a wonderful site where you can wake up from the camp and walk 5 mins to the site and fly all by yourself... I hope everyone enjoys it, first flown/found by Jonathan Bishop.

The take off is fairly easy to find, on the beach is a sand channel that flows back up the hill and can be seen in the video attached.. Once up here the venturi effect takes place and from here you can easily take off with a running push to the left or the right. On this site you can easily do 20 kilometres on a good day.. I won't be surprised if someone gets 50 kilometres here soon.. Landing is anywhere along the beach, and with a major road only 40 metres behind the sand dunes, you can easily flag down someone for a ride back to the car. From Sale head towards Longford, then take the turn off towards Golden beach. Follow 30 mins to Golden beach, at the roundabout in the small town turn right and head down this road with the ocean on your left for about 15 mins til you come to the small sign on side of the road saying C14 (On left). This is Camp 14, park in the small inlet parking and walk over the sand dune til you come to the beach, then as facing the water walk towards your left for 80 metres and you will see the sand channel up the hill.. Although a little quicker but less food options - leave the town of Sale and head towards Longford then carry onto the town of Seaspray. Once here, find the road to the small settlement of the Honeysuckles and from here it's only another 10 mins up the road to C14. The camp is on the right. Be very careful of wildlife - it is everywhere and travelling at 100 km/h you can easily get into trouble in early morning and late arvo. the site regs are here.. During the weekday please contact Air Traffic Control at RAAF Base East Sale 123.3 03 5146 7221 -7214 Please state where you are flying, and estimated heights, normally just state 15-35 metres. During the weekdays pc9's fly at around 250 feet through this airspace, but if you contact they will advise pilots. At weekends this airspace is not in effect perfect days to fly it.. If you decide to fly towards Seaspray, then please also be advised that Exxon-Mobil have helicopters flying from 500-1000 feet in a corridor from Golden beach to Seaspray. You can contact them on 03 5149 6500 - they operate 7 days a week on this airspace. Once again sale RAAF Base said they will advise the pilots, but to be sure I would also ring them.. On this site you can easily get 20-50 km flights up and down this beach on correct wind strength days. The dunes go on and on for 90 miles.. the site regs are here.. Winds can come on rather quickly, so be very careful flying here in high winds.. In any case if it picks up you can then head to Letts Beach as that has perfect conditions for high winds Only 20 mins further down the road, where this site has great conditions from 8 knots - 13 knots.
