As of JULY 2015 flying here is no longer allowed until suitable arrangements are made with the local landowners for access to the hill. This is a low site at the foot of the the much higher Macgillycuddy's Reeks mountains just behind it. This site has rarely been flown. This site has good potential to unlock flying in the bigger mountains. As of 2013 there is NO PERMISSION to bring any vehicles up the track or onto the land. Walking up the track/road is permitted. All gates are LOCKED.

NOTICE: Flying here is now SUSPENDED until a suitable agreement has been reached with the local landowners to use the site. Walking up the track is still allowed. Take off above the track just after the locked gate. Try not to land low down the valley as there are loads of rocks. Much safer to land just at the bottom of the r idge and then walk back down the 200m 5.5km northeast of Glencar (The Climbers Inn) on the road to Killorglin / Killarney is the 'Breanlee'parking area. It can accomodate about 25 cars and is elevated above the public road) Park here and walk up the track...circa 1km to the take off area. (45-60mins hike) Flying site is CLOSED until further notice.
