The flight zone Orduña is one of the best in this region from thermal to dynamic slopes. As one of the birthplaces of free flight, it is also a well known place among pilots. The Sierra Salvada as a whole offers an attractive geological formation that is fully exploited for sport, training and air in several arrangements, such as paragliding, hang gliding and ultralight. The slope of the Sierra Saved in Orduña, is arranged so that given its length string oriented NE, coupled with constant slope and angle, perfect for this sport. To this we must add a very wide valley without any obstacles, or high-power lines, mountains or by any means hinder the passage of air.

Take off is of medium difficulty depending on conditions. Be careful with little or no wind, because there is very little room for error. The best conditions are gentle breeze 10 to 20 km / h. and NE wind. The wing inflates smoothly and we have room for a check. With more wind on takeoff take care, because being a rocky cliff itb is difficult to abort. The landing is easy because the official landing field is grass (usually cut), and pretty wide. In the late aftrenoon be careful and watch the windsock, as the winds can turn catabatic (from East) (instead of NNE as usual). Beware of vines beside the road.
