Winds are usually cross from the north but on some lighter days it peels around the point straight in. It's often sunny a lot while it's overcast else where and a wave cloud will kick off some times which can be quite fun, or annoying....Watch for ranchers and authority figures, dont take off or land if they're around and I probably wouldn't fly here if you have a warrant or have issues with getting written up for some dumb reason....... Don't land on the ranchers property(every where), he will convict.

It's basiclly the gap between the road and fence line at North end of the straight away section of the highway 1. Check google earth pic.... ((You're launching off a road embankment so traffic is quite an issue if you drop your wing or get pulled over the highway))... Same spot... ((same issue with the traffic))...When coming in creep in super low over the fence line going north. Kill the wing as low on the embankment as you can(ur landing in lift), it's pretty tight so don't try this spot unless you're confident, or there is no traffic. 20 minutes or so south of Carmel Valley. 8 or so North of Big Sur...HWY 1 none none

Getting pushed over the back and landing on the road embankment is a real issue when it's strong. Stick to light days...The water is sheltered a bit from the open ocean swells so it looks calmer than it actually is. Oh yea, and the point to the north is called Hurricane point for some odd reason.
