Takeoff is located atop Sandia Peak and accessable via the Sandia Peak Tramway. Launch is very narrow and steep with little room for error. Landing area is the Big Sky Landing Area which is a County dedicated park for free flight landings. Large LZ, well maintained. Surrounded by residential homes and arroyo (ditch)on east side. Albuquerque, New Mexico Rated P-4 with mountain and thermal experience. Guide Pilot required for access.
